How to Download Forms

To download blank Articles of Incorporation, Articles of Organization, partnership forms, or an Application for Certificate of Authority, please go to www.sosnc.gov and then:

• Click on the "Forms" link at the top of the home page;
• Click on the Business Registration box;
• Scroll down and click on the relevant tab - Professional Corporations, Professional Limited Liability Companies, Limited Partnerships or Limited Liability Partnerships; and then
• Search for the form that you need. Forms are listed by name, along with the form number and a brief description of what the form can be used for.

Turnaround Time

Before submitting any documents through the North Carolina Secretary of State's online portal, please check the turnaround time listed on the home page of their website so that you can determine whether you should submit your filing on a regular basis or an expedited basis (extra fee will be charged).
